The Oracle by Jim Lee

Jim Lee's inspiration

"I was mostly inspired by the materials I had on hand. I knew I wanted to invite the viewer to the inside of the pentaprism. It was a matter of choosing what from my existing collection of things to use and where I would place it on the inside. What would I do to make it visible, even accessible? I went for the head sculpture because I thought it might engage the viewer on a more personal level and keep them engaged longer. It looks back at you. Closer inspection will reveal textures behind the head."
